David Hooton

National Sales Manager

David Hooton has had a dynamic and successful career in the automotive industry, starting at the age of 17 by selling and installing car audio systems. At 21, he married his high school sweetheart, and they moved to Georgia, where David transitioned into car sales. His career at Autonation saw him move through various roles, from internet sales to used car manager, where he learned the ins and outs of vehicle appraising, reconditioning, and maximizing profit. He then advanced to new car sales manager until 2008.

With the economic changes, David's General Manager encouraged him to move into fixed operations to support his family, where he quickly rose from service writer to service manager. David then took on the challenge of overseeing a chain of buy here pay here stores, improving output while cutting costs. He later became a fixed operations director for multiple manufacturers and even served as a General Manager, overseeing three different manufacturers. However, missing the service side of the business, David returned to fixed operations management before transitioning into the automotive chemical sector.
